About Start Circle of Friends

Start Circle of Friends is a registered charity providing volunteer driver transport for patients of Chillington Health Centre in the South Hams. Established in 1993, we have been helping local people access healthcare appointments safely and reliably for more than 30 years.

Our volunteer drivers support journeys to hospitals, GP appointments, dentists, opticians and healthcare services across Devon. With a focus on care, dignity and community support, Start Circle of Friends remains a vital service for many rural residents unable to travel independently.

Our mission is to ensure patients within the South Hams community can access essential healthcare safely, reliably and with dignity. Through volunteer support and community fundraising, Start Circle of Friends continues to provide an important lifeline for those unable to travel independently.
